This is a fantastic spot for a stay of any length in Santa Barbara! The house is adorable, perfectly appointed and so comfortable. Beautiful kitchen with all of the things a food lover needs to make something delicious with goods from the amazing local Farmers Market, which is a only a short walk away. Great local restaurants abound and the energy of the neighborhood is comfortable but fun. Jason is a fantastic host and very responsive. We’ve stayed in many neighborhoods and rentals in SB and this is one of our very favorites.

Jason's place was an awesome find and within walking distance to everything. Top notch kitchen if you feel the need to cook, and a peaceful patio with a BBQ. My wife enjoyed morning yoga in the office with the supplied gear. All the beds were quite comfortable. Also, two parking spots in the driveway fit both of our SUVs. Do be mindful of the stairs going up to the master (Jason did let us know beforehand as well). They remind me of places in Europe with a similar steepness but wasn't an issue for us. The master is quiet, and nice and sunny in the morning. All up, the house was very nicely remodeled and a perfect homebase for our party of 4. Looking forward to staying here again.

This is an adorable little bungalow that suited our family of five perfectly. It is clean and well decorated with a fun outdoor patio that we enjoyed every day since the weather was perfect! You are within walking distance of tons of restaurants and one of the best donut shops ever!! Thanks Jason!!

Gorgeous newly renovated home in a perfect location a few blocks from State Street. The stay was clean and peaceful, and Jason really made us feel at home. This is a perfect location for exploring downtown Santa Barbara on foot.

The Santa Barbara Bungalow has everything you could want: location, charm & comfort. The kitchen is terrific and each room is charming. There's a large patio - perfect for barbecues. Jason's an excellent host!

The best way to sum up our 2 month stay at Jason's place was that toward the end we starting thinking about how we could possibly buy it... We had an incredible stay and fell in love with the area that prompted us to stay for an extra month because this place was already booked for a few months. The house is large and provided plenty of space for us, our 2 year old, and the rotating visits from parents (the wife and I and the baby slept in the 2 downstairs rooms and the visitors were in the primary upstairs). It's on the bigger side of most of the other places we saw in SB. Kitchen is brand new and the patio area was perfect to grill and have dinner outside even when it was chilly since there are 2 heaters. House has modern-looking fans in the bedrooms a Nest controlled AC for the whole house (certainly not standard in SB). My wife and I were taking advantage of remote work opportunity and she took the office (with a closing door) while I worked off the large dining room table. If you're looking for more separation for a 2nd work location, any of the bedrooms would be more than large enough for a desk. Tons of closet space too. Location was exactly what we wanted - a quiet street that's within 3 blocks of State and a 20 min walk to the beach. Alameda Park was 15 min walk and we would go there all the time as well. Large grocery is 2.5 blocks away, there's a Trader Joe's 1.5 miles uptown, and dozens of restaurants are all walkable. Jason was a great host as well. I never thought that really mattered, but Jason was very responsive and helpful. He spent some time talking with us before we even booked explaining everything about the area and the house. He bought and renovated the house to use for his own family and it shows. I know this all sounds overly-positive and too good to be true, but what could be better than coming back to a newly renovated and fully stocked home from a beautiful nearby beach, and grilling in the backyard under a palm tree in perfect Santa Barbara weather, while your 2 year old picks ripe lemons that just fell from the lemon tree. That's why it was heartbreaking to leave.
